I cant stand mega serials(micro mini in content)and its horrible presentation. Fortunately, i dont subscribe to SUN or dish tv. I prefer to rent the movies i want on video instead. Well there are certainly more channels now than what existed 13 years back when SUN TV started. That doesnt seem to have helped the cause even a bit. These channels target the working class housewives and other segments of the audience who cant seem to get enough of these MIL-DIL megabores. I dont see any imminent solution to this as long as there exists an audience for such soaps. The Tamil movie producers association are launching yet another sat TV channel called Tamilthirai starting April 22nd. Bharathiraja made an announcement recently. More film-based stuff I think. “Till we have a good competitor we have to put up with the crappy SUN TV.”
