Zero – bewildered would be the right word to describe how I felt after the book. This book, bestseller, 70 weeks? Wow.

soliloquist – you are right, it did sound like a blog post gone long. I thought they were dead serious about the contemporary classic tagline, but maybe you are right. It was probably another one of those jokes I don’t get.

yep, wasnt a book to remember..just for a few laughs and time pass.. Had more of a blogger’s style..Perhaps the tagline “a contemporary classic” was to add to the attempts made at humor..

I too found it “run-of-the-mill” (using the term in its broad sense) and was irked by its kind-of’s and like-what’s. In other words, the author himself wrote in sentences which you described as realistic dialogues.
But it had some good funny situations which were rightly used throughout. It was like those funny forwards (w.r.t. the language) we receive everyday. but a good one at that.
